Yes. Sleeping bags, insulated jackets, trekking poles, and some other bulky items can be rented in Moshi. Boots are a poor rental if you have not walked in them. Kilita can tell you what we can arrange and what you should bring from home. Collect the rental a day before the climb, not on the morning the vehicle leaves.
How Kilita plans it
Try every zip, pole lock, and sleeping-bag zip in the shop. A summit night is the wrong time to discover a broken buckle. The rental fee is outside the climb card unless your quote says it is included. Put it on the same checklist as the park fees.
What to do next
- Rent bulk and warmth, not untried boots.
- Collect gear the day before.
- Test zips and poles in town.
- Ask if rental is inside your quote.
