Bring shoes with grip, a light rain jacket, sun protection, water, and a little cash. The Materuni and Chemka combination is the full version of this day, at $75 joining or $120 private. Paths are uneven and can be wet. A swimsuit and a towel matter if Chemka is included. A drone and a large camera bag do not.
How Kilita plans it
Wear trousers you can walk in, and sandals only as a second pair for the springs. Ask us about lunch so you are not carrying a picnic you do not need. Small notes are useful if you buy coffee to take home. Leave the climb packing in the hotel. This is a day from Moshi, not a trek.
