Materuni is a village walk, a waterfall, and a coffee-making visit on the same hillside, close to Moshi. You are not looking at the mountain from a car park. You are in the farms below it. Kilita's joining price is $85 per person, or $140 if you want the trip private. It is the day trip we suggest when someone has one free day and wants both a walk and a local visit.
How Kilita plans it
The path can be muddy and the waterfall is a real walk, not a viewing platform next to the road. Wear shoes you can get wet. The coffee stop is part of the visit, so tell us if you want extra time there or a shorter walk. It combines cleanly with Chemka only if you accept a fuller day.
What to do next
- One hillside, one village, one waterfall.
- $85 joining or $140 private.
- Wear shoes for mud.
- Say if you want more time at the coffee stop.
