Yes. The joining rate is the solo traveller's route, as long as the departure has a group. Kilita's 3-day Serengeti camping card for solo travellers joining a small group is $650 joining or $900 private. You share the vehicle and the day's plan. You do not have to pay for an empty Land Cruiser unless the date does not fill.

Ask how many other people are already on that date, and what happens if you remain the only guest. The fair answer is a choice: move to a date with a group, or pay the private rate. A solo traveller can still ask for a single tent or a single room. That is a bed question, and it may add a single supplement. It is not the same as a private vehicle.
