Book the flight after the safari exit is real. You need the town you leave from, the time the vehicle can reach the airport, and a same-day gap. A ticket for noon on the day you leave the Serengeti is how bags get left behind. Kilita would rather book a later flight than a heroic connection.

Compare baggage with what you used on safari. Climbing gear and a surfboard do not share a small domestic allowance. If you climbed first, store the rented kit in Moshi.
