Tanzania safari

The short answer

Prices below are Kilita's published joining and private starting rates. Ask us to confirm what is included before you pay a deposit.

What Should I Check Before Paying a Deposit for a Tanzania Safari?
2 November 2026

Before you pay, the quote should name the dates, the parks, the vehicle type, the place you sleep each night, and what the price includes. It should also say how much the deposit is, when the balance is due, and what happens if you cancel. A price with no lodge names and no inclusion list is not ready to pay.

How Kilita plans it

Check that the company you pay is the company that will run the trip. Kilita Safaris is based in Moshi. The contact page and the written quote should match. Ask whether the rate is joining or private, and ask for the list of fees that are excluded. Read the deposit answer on our group-tour deposit guide, then ask us to apply those rules to your dates.

What to do next

  • Match the payee name to the company on the quote.
  • Get lodge or campsite names in writing.
  • Ask the cancellation date in days, not 'standard terms'.
  • Do not pay the full amount on the first email.
