Machame Gate (1,790m) - Machame Camp (3,010m)

Drive from Moshi to Machame Gate for registration. Trek through lush rainforest watching for colobus monkeys. Reach Machame Camp for dinner and overnight.

Machame Camp - Shira Camp (3,845m)

Short hike to Barafu — last camp before summit. Early dinner and rest for midnight departure.

Barafu - Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,080m)

  • Distance: ~7 km up / ~23 km down
  • Habitat: Summit zone

Start around midnight for sunrise at Uhuru Peak. Descend to Mweka Camp for well-earned rest.

Mweka Camp - Mweka Gate – Moshi

  • Distance: ~15 km
  • Habitat: Rainforest

Final descent through tropical forest to Mweka Gate. Certificate ceremony and transfer to Moshi hotel.
