Day By Day Itinerary:

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. From there, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant herds and towering baobab trees. Spend the day on game drives through this diverse landscape, spotting wildlife like giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and predators such as lions. After a full day of adventure, you’ll head to a public campsite near the park for dinner and your first night under the African sky.

Day 2: Tarangire to Central Serengeti
After breakfast at camp, you’ll begin your drive to Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands, offering beautiful views and cultural glimpses along the way. You’ll arrive in the central Serengeti in time for an afternoon game drive, where the wide open plains are home to big cats, buffalo, elephants, and countless other species. As the sun sets, settle into your campsite in the heart of the Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti
Today is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti in depth. Begin with an early morning game drive — the best time to catch lions, leopards, and cheetahs on the move. Return to camp for breakfast, then continue your game viewing through the vast savannahs. Depending on the time of year, you may witness parts of the Great Migration, one of the world’s most breathtaking wildlife spectacles. After a packed day of exploration, return to your camp for a hearty dinner and another night in the wilderness.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a final game drive as you exit Serengeti, keeping an eye out for wildlife you may have missed. Continue your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a scenic drive that takes you through rolling hills and Maasai territory. Arrive at your campsite on the crater rim by late afternoon, where cooler temperatures and dramatic views set the tone for the night. Dinner will be served at camp as you prepare for an exciting day ahead.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Transfer to Mto wa Mbu
Wake up early for a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most wildlife-rich areas in Africa. Here you have a chance to see the Big Five, including rare black rhinos, as well as hippos, flamingos, and other species in this natural amphitheater. After a game drive and picnic lunch on the crater floor, you’ll ascend back up and drive to Mto wa Mbu town, where you’ll spend the night at a nearby campsite with dinner included.

Day 6: Lake Manyara Visit and Return to Arusha
On your final day, visit the nearby Lake Manyara National Park, known for its lush forest, tree-climbing lions, and vibrant birdlife. Enjoy a half-day game drive through this compact but wildlife-rich park. After lunch, begin your return journey to Arusha, where your guide will drop you off at your accommodation or airport, marking the end of your incredible camping safari.
